East Germany was a country of 16 million people. In 1990, it disappeared forever but the DDR lives on in souvenirs and the memories of those who lived there. My DDR T-Shirt takes a look at life in East Germany and asks people from the East and West: what was the DDR like, how does it feel to see these old symbols sold as souvenirs, was the fall of the Berlin Wall as good as it looked on TV and was anything was lost when the DDR was consigned to the history books?
